I was dragged to my first Jiu Jitsu class by a friend of mine and once I hit the mats I was hooked. I began my training under legend Master Carlson Gracie Sr. and now after more than 20 years on the mats I can’t imagine life without Jiu Jitsu.
Along the way, I have made so many friends and built countless relationships within the Jiu Jitsu community, and I thought wouldn’t be interesting to get their stories out to the masses? That’s when the seeds of ROL Radio were planted.
Being a husband, father of three boys, and owner of my own Jiu Jitsu Academy I am forever grateful to the martial art that has given me so much.
After literally decades of wanting to try Jiu Jitsu, I finally started at the ripe old age of 46. Father of two amazing kids and working at my Jiu Jitsu academy, family and Jiu Jitsu are the most prevalent things in my life.
My first couple of years, fitting in my training in between work and family obligations, I had the opportunity to quit my job and work at my academy full time. No excuses to not train now! I'm currently working towards my purple belt and smashing the blue belt blues along the way.
Now with RŌL Radio, I am lucky enough to have some of the biggest names in Jiu Jitsu share their Jiu Jitsu journeys with me and our listeners.
